Gionee p5 review in 2020

New smartphones and other awesome devices are released by various companies almost every year with the intention of meeting customers demands.

The Gionee p5 mini is a very misterious device packed with incredible specifications which boosts it's performance.

The p5 mini is an Android device released around 2016 though it has some features that you would not expect to see in it ,but to surprise you it has more than you could expect it to have.

The overall user experience  has been very pleasant and encouraging that even if you get a new smartphone you would still like to keep it as a secondary device. We'll be pointing out some important features of this great masterpiece from Gionee mobile as we go down into the main aim of this post

HARDWARE DESIGN:

It's a very thin and handy device that is made of plastic,the first thing you will notice is the Gionee logo at the back which gives it this classic look that is  pleasing to look at.

The plastic body gives it this strong and rigid texture and that's one important thing to consider,  incase if it falls or slips off from a height you don't  necessarily need to border.it's compact and comes in different colors but the ones in  black are the most prominent.

The Power and volume keys are located at the right side, the charging port and one microphone is found below the navigation keys with  the speaker located at the back.Even with its location it still has a good sound quality

PROCESSOR:

It has an ARMv7 Quad-core processor with the frequency of 1300Mhz,8gb ROM 1gb of RAM, Android version 5.1 ,kernel version 3.10.72 and system version amigo 3.1

The p5 mini still performs well even far beyond expectations.

The speed is immearsurable plus you hardly notice any lag or hanging while making use of it not minding that it has just one 1Gb of RAM.

The browsing experience is has been a joyous one but the down side is the low storage capacity but it can still be increased by using a micro SD card card so ,that's no major issue in this area.

It supports dual micro SIM cards plus the 2g/ 3g network, Bluetooth and wifi for connectivity.

It's quite fast in the terms of the performance ,infact from close observation and a little experience it performance well than some recent smartphones which we'll not mention here.

Apart from the Google play store you can also download apps from the Gstore 

that means you can get apps and games from various sources.

In summary the overall processing Power is quite impressive than some of the smartphones produced during it's time and present

DISPLAY

It consists of 4.5 inch  laminated glass display with the resolution of  480×854

 The p5 mini is a touch screen device and is very responsive with this nice refresh rate.it consists of a touch screen digitizer and a limimated glass display. The laminated display is an astonishing feature of the smartphone which shows that Gionee mobile is really in very capable of  producing incredible smart devices.

Using this smartphone under direct sun light won't be much of a problem because you get to see the full details of texts or images clearly  and this is one of that advantages of having a laminated screen.

For More visibility,you can increase the brightness level by your self or select the Adaptative brightness or the economical backlight. I was astonished when I saw these two features so, technically this is a smartphone for the future.  Gionee mobile really did alot of work on this device because some of the new smartphones of 2017 to 2020 Don't poses what this has and  this has been it's biggest selling point.

 The Adaptative brightness does the work of optimizing the  brightness level for available light .that is ,changing the screen brightness in response to the  light condition of your environment, This also saves the stress and time of having to do the work your self. whereas the economical backlight  automatically adjusts the backlight to save power.

Android phones have alot in common and one of them is Customization

In the p5 mini you can customize as much as you want to. You can change the font size and style  to any way you like

You can also customize widgets and effects as much as you want.come to think of it ,it's nice to use things that gives you the freedom to change or enchance as much as you desire to a level that suits you,thats a unique characteristic of Android operating system.

 Taking Screenshots with this smartphone has been simplified to the extent that  you have balot of options to choose from like the normal screenshots,long Screenshots and part screenshots.

The best part is that the user may not need to press the power and one of the volume buttons simultaneously to take screenshots like in other phones,that made the operation easy and reduced the risk of damaging the buttons.

For screen locking, you have the swipe, password and face unlock plus the device it's self can be secured by setting screen pattern.

It's equiped with a five mega pixel rear camera and two megapixel front facing camera .both cameras take good and detailed photos.

They do perform well the a bright light conditions as well as low light.

Below the rear camera is a flash light which helps for viewing in the dark

Well,alot of things can affect battery life of any device,I most cases it depends on the user.

Activities like web surfing, gaming, video recording,watching videos and chatting drains more power but playing music , looking at some photos in your gallery would take less power.so,the battery life of any smartphone is also dependent on the task being carried out on the device at that particular time.

It's powered by 1850mAh removable battery, the capacity may be low but its still manageable. You can still get this smartphone at the price of $60 to $65

At the end of everything, we'll say that it all depends on what the individual likes or wants to have wether with  high or low specifications. Alot of things can be changed to make it much more better , features like increasing the internal storage ,the RAM and the battery life /capacity other than that, it's a fantastic device to make use of.
